Bhamjee quits CAF, FifaBhamjee has announced that he is relinquishing his roles at CAF and Fifa, but, for some reason still to be established, has not left his position at COSAFA.
The announcement follows Bhamjee’s sacking as honorary president of the Botswana Football Association last weekend, where delegates voted him out of the
federation.
Bhamjee made the headlines during the 2006 World Cup in Germany for selling tickets at vastly inflated prices.
At the time he was a member of Fifa’s Executive Committee and was ordered to return to Botswana with immediate effect.
