Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral has replaced Gordon Igesund as head coach of Ajax Cape Town on a three-year deal.

“Muhsin was interviewed by both myself and Ajax Amsterdam Technical Director, Louis van Gaal, and we both felt he was the correct choice,” Ajax CEO John Comitis says.

Dutch legend Ruud Krol was also in the picture, but in the end it was Ertugral that was settled on.

Comitis said that Ertugral proved at his previous clubs how he enjoys working with wingers and young players, which fits in with the Ajax way.

where is the logic of sacking Gordon and replacing him with Ertugral? . he didn't do anything special with Chiefs. whatever he won was due to the player he had at the time (Pule, Nomvete and others).
