Gordon Igesund leaves AjaxCTGordon Igesund and Ajax Cape Town have parted ways with immediate effect on Tuesday.
Igesund is now free to join any club of his choice, but three time championship winning coach revealed to Kick Off that he has yet to make a decision regarding his future.
“I enjoyed my time with Ajax Cape Town, but have officially left the club. I haven’t made a decision regarding my future yet,” he said.
While all club CEO John Comitis said was: “The club and coach have parted ways.”
With a proven track record, Igesund will definitely become the most sought after coach in the country, and with him having undergone an interview with SAFA regarding the vacant Bafana Bafana coaching job last week, indications suggest that he might take over the national hot seat.
However, there is also the vacant Orlando Pirates coaching job, with the Soweto giants said to be in the process of viewing possible candidates for the job.
On whether he would return to the Buccaneers, with whom he won the Castle Premiership in the 2000/01 season, Igesund told Kick Off: “I really enjoyed working under Irvin Khoza. He is a great club owner to work for and I would definitely think about returning should they talk to me.”
