Igesund in demandFormer Ajax Cape Town coach Gordon Igesund is being considered for the post of national team coach by both Ghana and Cameroon.
"I have been contacted by both the Cameroon and Ghanaian football associations," Igesund told The Independent on Saturday.
This was later confirmed by Igesund's business manager, Mike Makaab, who said: "I have been contacted by both the Cameroon and Ghanaian football associations.
"We submitted Gordon's CV to the Ghanaian Football Association.
"And we got a call to say they had received it, then another to say he was being considered for the job and a committee was getting together to decide on the coach.
"Cameroon have also expressed an interest. We have had no interest from the Ivory Coast."
Ghana's coaching post has been vacant since the resignation of Serbian Ratomir Dujkovic, who quit after guiding the Black Stars to the 2006 World Cup last 16.
Cameroon have been looking for a new coach since Portuguese coach Artur Jorge quit after the 2006 MTN Africa Cup of Nations finals in Egypt at the beginning of the year.
Igesund, who has won three Premier Soccer League titles with three different teams, is looking for a new job after being fired by Ajax Cape Town at the end of last season.
Why do we pay millions to foreigners when we have our own coaches who are also wanted by big nations...... ?

So suppose he gets the post in Ghana and when we meet them they wallop us,are we going to blame Gordon for that?It is common to sort of punish a player for scoring a goal against the nation he plys his trade in.
Will it be Gordon's fault if we loose against his new National team?

Gordan must just go FULL OUT then .. its his job to make whatever team he works for successfull .. so bet of luck to him ...
Obviosly the association has chosen someone thye fell is the BEST in the position so lets stick to our guns then ...
But if this happens he'l b one of the FEW coaches we have here , who have gon on to coach outside ...
WE need that at the end of the day , to improve thei skills and knowlegde
( look at the dutch and french coaches around the world)
