Jomo Cosmos striker Alois Bunjira wants to return home to Zimbabwe to join his former team CAPS United, while he is waiting for his work permit to be processed.
Bunjira, who spent the whole of last season idle awaiting a work permit, revealed the news in a weekly newspaper saying the reason why he intends to do so is to ensure he sees action.
“I missed the entire season, but I still have a year on my contract to run. Now, Jomo Cosmos have indicated they want me to extend my contract with another year to make up for the time I missed. While it is flattering, I don’t know what to do.
“I am actually thinking of going back home to play football. Teams are reluctant to take me as a foreigner as they all say they will rather wait for my permit as it can come anytime. You know soccer is my life. I’m sure in a few weeks I will join one of the clubs back home while I wait. Maybe I might go back to CAPS United,” wrote Bunjira in a column.
The Zimbabwe international, who played for Wits and Mamelodi Sundowns in the past, has not hidden his displeasure for being inactive while his work permit is being processed.

Katongo could be on his way
Jomo Cosmos striker, Christopher Katongo, has impressed the two Scottish sides Glasgow Rangers and Aberdeen while they were in South Africa for the pre-season tournament where they faced Jomo Cosmos, Bloemfontein Celtic and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Katongo, the Zambian international, who was Ezinkosi’s top goal scorer last season with twelve goals, played very well on Sunday when Cosmos beat Aberdeen 2-0 at the Wanderers Stadium scoring one of the goals.
“Christopher is likely to leave Cosmos for greener pasture,” club boss Jomo Sono disclosed.
“He has really done very well for us here at Cosmos and I think it is the right time for him to leave us because he is in demand overseas.
“He might secure a deal with either Rangers or Aberdeen so it will be down to negotiations to see where he goes.
“As for his replacement, there is a highly skilled player from Malawi I have been watching and think can fit in very well in his place,” Mjomane said.

Jomo Cosmos midfielder Christopher Katongo has said he would rather stay at Ezenkosi than join Scottish side, Dundee United who have offered 10, 000 pounds for his signature.
In an exclusive interview with Kick Off from Johannesburg, soon after arriving from Scotland, Katongo said he would not join the Scottish side despite impressing because the money involved in the transfer was too little.
“I am not going to join Dundee because the money they have offered is very little. Even in Zambia or here they can’t pay so little for a move," he said adding that he would only move if Dundee increased what there have offered.
He also rubbished reports by Aberdeen that he abandoned them when he was supposed to have attended trials with them, but opted to go to Dundee United saying they had not invited him for trials.
“I was taken to Dundee United for trials and not Aberdeen by my agent, I had no obligation to them (Aberdeen)," he said
He added that he had three days trials at Watford, but that he left as the Coca Cola Championship side wanted him to be on trials for 15 days, which would have meant him missing the closing date for the Premier Soccer League (PSL) deadline with Cosmos.
Katongo also said at no time did Southampton invite him for trials.
“I only read that in the press that Southampton wanted me,” said Katongo, who is expected to join the Zambian squad for their 2008 African Nations Cup qualifier against Chad.
