As for Mendu wanting to go to Classics? It is really sad when a player has left a team where he was excelling. He really did well at Swallows and look now where he is! What do you think will happen if Classic signs him and puts him on the bench?

Mamelodi Sundowns’ star midfielder Esrom Nyandoro, who will be leaving early in July for trials with newly promoted English Premiership side Sheffield United, is also in line for trials with Fulham and Bolton Wanderers.
He will also get the chance to try out with English Second Division side, Chesterfield United.
“There are some agents in England who have said that they will organise trials at Fulham and Bolton after his initial stint at Sheffield United.
“An agent who Honour Gombami to trials with Chesterfield United has also shown interest in taking Kota to the same club,” says the source.
Sundowns’ acting CEO Jose Ferreira has already confirmed receiving a request from Sheffield requesting Nyandoro to join them for their pre-season training in early July and that the club has given their consent.
Ferreira added that nothing has been finalised regarding a possible transfer as yet and that they will consider it after receiving an offer from the Premiership club.
“I have spoken to Peter Ndlovu, who has spent the better part of his career in England, and he gave me valuable tips regarding football in the United Kingdom. I have also watched Sheffield United in action on several occasions and I have an idea of what to expect,” the 26-year-old says on the Brazilians’ website.
“I’m going to England with an open mind but with a determination to give it my best shot. I’m confident that I’ll succeed because my style of play is suited to the English game,” Nyandoro adds.

English Premiership side Sheffield United are reportedly proposing a 1 million pound bid for Mamelodi Sundowns’ midfielder Esrom Nyandoro.
According to UK daily, The Sun, the Blades are keen to secure the services of the Zimbabwe international.
Other English Premiership clubs Fulham and Bolton are also reported to be ready to take Nyandoro on board.
It appears United manager Neil Warnock is worried about that and does not want to take any chances in his bid to land the midfielder.
Nyandoro has been in fine form for Sundowns in the past two seasons. He helped them land the Premiership title in May when they pipped Soweto giants Orlando Pirates in the race for the title.
Nyandoro also won the Rookie of the Year award in his debut season before landing the club’s Footballer of the Year award. He also won the PSL’s Fine Moment of the Year for his wonder strike against Supersport United in a crucial league tie.

Mamelodi Sundowns and English Premiership side Sheffield United have opened talks over the transfer deal of Zimbabwean midfielder Esrom Nyandoro.
According to the club website, Nyandoro reported for training when Mamelodi Sundowns players re-assembled at their Chloorkop headquarters on Monday.
Nyandoro admitted that an approach has been made and the English club wants him, but the matter is being discussed at management level and he is awaiting the decision of both clubs.
While negotiations between Sundowns and Sheffield United continue, Nyandoro said he will continue training with his club.
“They want me to attend trials during their pre-season,” said Nyandoro. “I do not mind attending their trials so that I can show them what I can do. But at the same time, I cannot go without the blessings of Sundowns.
“Somehow, the two parties have to reach agreement regarding my proposed visit to England for trials so that should things not work out, I must be in a position to come back knowing that I did not burn my bridges.”
Sundowns CEO Jose Ferreira confirmed that negotiations are currently underway with Sheffield United.

Returning Mnguni promises to help Sundowns
Bennett Mnguni has pledged to win more trophies with Mamelodi Sundowns this season.
After five years of playing abroad in Russia and China, the midfield has rejoined Sundowns on a two year deal.
Speaking to Kick Off as his mates were sweating it out against Durban Bush Bucks in a friendly at Cato Manor in Durban on Thursday afternoon, Mnguni was full of confidence.
"I'm back at Sundowns to continue my winning ways. I'm used to winning things and I believe with the team that has been assembled, our fans will celebrate again this coming season,” says Mnguni who left for Russia after helping Downs to three League titles.
He said playing abroad has developed his game and he pledged to pass this on at the club.
The Mamelodi-born player added that he’s aiming to force himself back in the Bafana Bafana fold.
“I last played for Bafana in 2004, when we lost to Australia in England and I think I did well. I’m no longer in obscurity now and the selectors will find it hard to ignore me. I’m not worried about my age because I believe that at 32 I can still do it.”

Nyandoro leaves for UK
Zimbabwean and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Esrom Nyandoro left for England last night after securing a visa.
The Warriors’ midfielder, voted Sundowns’ Player of the Year, is targeting a move to newly-promoted Premier League club, Sheffield United.
Nyandoro’s trip to England for trials was delayed by almost to two weeks following visa complications.
The player’s agent, Winston Makamure - the man who secured Peter Ndlovu’s move to Coventry more than a decade ago - flew to South Africa last week to move the visa process.
Nyandoro, however, picked up a slight injury in the run up to the Brazilians’ international friendly against Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers in South Africa last Sunday and it is not clear whether he will be fit to attend the trials.
Two other Premiership clubs, Fulham and Bolton Wanderers, are believed to be tracking the 26 year-old should he fail to make the grade at United.

Mambush leaves Downs ..It has come as a shock to thousand to Mamelodi Sundowns followers but the truth is that long serving servant and all time top goalscorer Daniel “Mambush” Mudau has resigned from the Brazilians.
Mudau is expected to join Mvela Golden League side FC AK and leaves with the blessings of the club as President Patrice Motsepe wished him everything of the best in his new endeavor.
“Daniel has been an excellent player and a wonderful person,” said club president Motsepe. “We at Sundowns are very proud to have played a role in the development and growth of Daniel Mudau both as a player and as a person.
“But we must not be selfish to stand in the way of his further growth and development and so, we will not stand in his way of furthering his career elsewhere and wish to take this opportunity to wish him the best of luck in his new endeavors’.
“I also want to inform him that the doors at Sundowns shall remain open and if at any time he feels like coming home, he only has to call and he shall be welcomed back. But for now, he leaves with our blessings.”
It still sounds unbelievable that a man who was almost synonymous with the green, blue and yellow colours of the Brazilians is leaving the famous Mamelodi club to pursue his career elsewhere.
“It is with the greatest regret that I publicly announce my resignation from Mamelodi Sundowns, the club that I have grown to love deeply and a club that will eternally remain a part of me,” said Mudau in a statement.
“I must point out from the onset that this has been the most difficult decision I have ever made in my whole life. What made the decision so difficult as everyone knows my relationship with the club is that Sundowns has over the years been my second home.
“It is a club that has nurtured, groomed and developed me to become what I am today. However, like any child who grows up within a warm, caring and loving family, there comes a time when that child must detach itself from the comfort of his or her environment with the view of seeking further development.”
This will come as a shock to many Sundowns followers who have watched Mudau grow and blossom within the club’s set-up and although he is no longer an active player, his contributions towards the development of Sundowns both as a player and administrator has been immense.
He joined Sundowns as a strapping youngster back in 1988 but the club then boasted quality strikers like Andries “Panyaza” Chitja, Lovemore “Rambo” Chafunya and were captained by Walter “Mastermind” Kutumela, the current General Manager.
Sundowns loaned Mudau to then Second Division Ratanang Maholosiane in QwaQwa during 1990, where under the guidance of Trott Moloto, Mudau became one of the deadliest marksmen in the Second Division.
The following year, he was recalled back to the team and he went on to register records as an all-time leading goalscorer of the club. At one stage, a recurring knee injury appeared to curtail his career and he was also on the verge of packing it all up and calling it a day.
But newly appointed coach Ted Dumitru resuscitated his career and instead of fielding him upfront as a striker, gave him a free role to attack from behind the two strikers and Mudau was back in business.
He retained the top goal scoring award and in fact, in one game, scored all goals as Sundowns hammered SuperSport United, then known as Pretoria City, 5-0 at Eersterus Stadium near Mamelodi.
Towards the end of his career, Mudau was courted by both SuperSport United and even Kaizer Chiefs but elected to stay loyal to the club that gave him his break in professional footballing career.
But like he pointed out earlier in his statement that there comes a time in one’s life when circumstances force you to seek out your own path and chart your own way, for him the time is now.
“I have reached a stage in my life where I have to move in search of further growth,” continues Mudau in his statement. “I have no doubt in my mind that however difficult my decision may be to Sundowns family, it is a decision that I had to make in the interest on my personal growth.
“I wish to express my gratitude and thank the president Patrice Motsepe for all the faith and confidence he had in my abilities by appointing me the club’s Technical Assistant. I have learned quite a lot during the period that I held this position.
“I also wish to thank all the players past and present, including those I played with and against during my playing career, management past and present, staff and most of all, the club’s wonderful supporters for all the encouragement throughout the years.
“In conclusion, I by being no longer with the club should not be perceived as forsaking the club forever. I will always be associated with Sundowns, the sky will always be the limit and I will cherish fond memories of my stay with the club – Mamelodi Sundowns.”
Mudau said he will be an ambassador of Sundowns wherever he goes. But he needed the support for his move which was in the best interest of his family and for him personally.
He added that one could not predict the future and wherever he is going, he hoped to acquire skills, expertise and knowledge that may be useful in the future development of this great Mamelodi Sundowns!
Well, www.sundownsfc.com also wishes Mambush the best of all luck in his new career!

It is without doubt, going to be a very pleasant surprise to Mamelodi Sundowns supporters when they see him troop onto the field with the rest of the squad for the second Telkom Charity Cup semi-final against Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Late on Thursday, Sundowns co-coaches Neil Tovey and Miguel Gamondi received confirmation from the player that he had boarded a plane and will definitely be in South Africa on Friday morning.
It is certainly going to be viewed as a mind game intended to throw Chiefs off their trail and disrupt their planning, but Tovey said the “New Man in Town” will definitely be considered for Saturday’s crunch game against their perennial rivals.
“He is definitely in our plans,” Tovey informed www.sundownsfc.com. “Gamondi and I will sit down with the player on Friday night and depending on his physical conditioning, we might throw him in from the start of the game.
“He might even come in the second half but he is definitely playing on Saturday. I cannot, unfortunately divulge his identity but I can guarantee the Sundowns followers that he will be a pleasant and welcome surprise when they see him.”
Injuries to defenders Vuyo Mere and Robyn Johannes mean that Tovey and Gamondi will have to shuffle their team around. “The physiotherapist is working round the clock to have them fit in time for Saturday,” said Tovey, “but it seems he is working against time as their injuries are not responding to treatment.”
Tovey refused to reveal his hand except to urge Sundowns supporters to come in their thousands to cheer the team and promised that they were determined to retain the trophy they won in a penalty shootout last year.
They have looked sharp at training and while there have been slight changes to the playing personnel, it had not been too radical changes to disrupt the team and judging by the simple manner in which they outplayed Glasgow Rangers a few weeks ago, then spectators should brace themselves for a hectic afternoon.
There has never been a dull moment whenever Chiefs and Sundowns clashed. Their encounters last year can be categorized as “Matches of the Season,” edge of the seat kind of stuff from their league to cup encounters and Saturday’s match will be no exception.
Sundowns supporters hate losing to Chiefs and the same applies to the Amakhosi, some of whom broke down and wept openly after taunting the Brazilians as their daily bread but eat loaves of brown bread after Sundowns had whipped them 3-1 at Loftus in the second round of the league.
And Sundowns appeared on determined to emphasize who was better during the ABSA Cup semi-final in Rustenburg when they ran Chiefs off the park but failed to score and crashed out of the competition in one of the worst penalty shooting ever witnessed locally.
There is a distinct possibility that the game could go into the dreaded shoot-out, and to this end, Tovey and Gamondi took their players to a penalty shooting drill in anticipation of such an eventuality.
Yet if the truth be told, no player from Sundowns or Chiefs need any motivation when their teams are matched-up in any fixture, whether it is a league encounter or cup competition, the tension started building up from the moment the two teams were drawn against each other on Monday.
The talking has been done, preparations will be rounded up later on Friday and after all has been said and done, it is up to the players to deliver in the name of charity. Late on Thursday night, it was reported that 60 000 tickets have been sold already.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfield kingpin and Cameroon international Roger Feutmba could be heading back to the club in the near future – but not to play, or to coach.
Feutmba told Kick Off from Cameroon, that Sundowns president Patrice Motsepe wants him back at Chloorkop.
“I am waiting to hear from him”, Feutmba said. “He called me about a month ago that he wants me to come over. In fact, we are always talking over the phone. He told me that he will see if they can organise something for me and I am ready to come back and work at Sundowns, but not as a coach.
“I am planning to come down to South Africa in about two weeks once the League season is over in Cameroon, which finishes this coming week-end”.
The 37-year-old Feutmba is currently acting as manager at Cameroonian First Division club Union Douala, where he was head coach last season.
How did he not make it to the National Team? He was the best distributer of the ball.

Tovey OUT ...Gordan in ...
well, Im not really happy about this ... what happens if Gordan doesnt deliver as FAST as posible ? Then thyl have to get another guy ..
This is BAD for consistency and I had belief in the 2 guys after all they did bring the league championship to Downs ..
they have @least 2 years experince with the team and the whole approach of Downs , now its start from scratch time ?
I dont biuy this they were starting to get beaten argument , thats media TALK and the MEDIA we know want juicy stories and fast actionn to sell papers ..
Look overseas, Arsenal have had an indiffrent start but they havent fired th coach ..Chelsea to ..Milan ...
All th coaches(Quality) are still intact and given a chance ...I just feel Patrice was tooo itchy to get intoaction and fire the guys to get HIS coach ..
I feel this will bite Sundowns in the ASS sometime i nthe future...like Bucs and Bonedarenko
