New Captain again

Benson Mhlongo is set to captain Bafana Bafana against Namibia in a friendly international in Windhoek making him the 24th South African skipper since 1992.

Coach Pitso Mosimane told media that when the new coach arrives he will select his own captain and Mhlongo will lead just for this match.
Nahtino

Can U belive we'v had 24 CAPTIANS in 16 years !!! Thats absolutly trash really ...It shows non consitency
VHAMBLIDINHO

Every coach comes with his own captain. even Parreira will have his own leader i guess Embarassed
Nahtino

We haven't really had a strong captain since the departure of Rhoo and Tovey. Mabizela was a good choice but if only he had played regularly and stayed out of trouble for all these years

For now, I think Mhongo will do a goo job. I never really trusted Mokoena as our leader. We can have Nzama is the leader also. Good captains are mainly central defenders or defesive midfielders
Nahtino

eish buit uNzama is a bit oldishnow ... he can do till 2008 but we need a long term plan ..

I think It was a wise decision by Pitso to give the armband to Benson. lets see what he can do.

I suspect "when " Carlos starts taking over BB, He'l have HIS choice appointed so the wheel has not stopped turning boys ...

maybe I should get start getting a coaching Badge for 2010. it will come handy on 5 January 2010 when SAFA announces a new coach to take the National team to the AFCON after they have fired Gordon who was replacing Tovey and Tovey himself would be a replacement for Perreira

Laughing Laughing
Nahtino

HAHAHAHAHA !!! NNice one .. I also tink theres a FAIR BIG CHANCE that Carlos wont last .. U read his contract states he wont get a payout incasee he goes ...Im sure SAFA wrote that in ..

if they had2pay him out , SHYT!! He'd get close to R 100million easy (Depending on the stregnth of the rand )

We have another Captain again

Nasief Morris will captain Bafana Bafana when they take on Congo in a 2008 Nations Cup qualifier at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

The Panathinaikos defender replaces Benson Mhlongo to become the 25th Bafana captain and says he is looking forward to the task. “It’s a big honour to be appointed as the captain of the national team,” says the player speaking from the Bafana Bafana camp in Sandton

when are we going to stop? Wink
Nahtino

Hmmm... well to think of it , maybe he is the better choice hey ...He saved our skins last tym ..

Not a bad choice , Benson was real queit last tym ...

Hopefully this one can stick
VHAMBLIDINHO

the sooner we elect our long-term captain the better. this chopping and changing won't help us at all.
Nahtino

So true , Im thinking mayybe uCarlos will come in and start picking HIS own captian ...

If Nonda is there, he will lead the attack but he is not fully fit. Lua-Lua is out injured. and Zola will always be a dangerman with his left foot...
Nahtino

Haaibo , Im not too sure whetehr it is THAT CONGO hey ... its a bit confusing ...

eish !!
drunken_master

was it Congo or DRC (Zaire) ?
Nahtino

I think its CONGO-Brazzaville ... not Democratic Republic of Congo

How can 2 countrys have the same name ..?
