New dawn for Bafana BafanaIn what is effectively a warm-up for the Cosafa Cup that is to follow in 10 days, Bafana Bafana enter a new dawn in Wednesday's friendly against old sparring partners Lesotho under caretaker coach Pitso Mosimane.
The game in Maseru will be Bafana's first international since the ill-fated African Nations Cup campaign, with Mosimane only delegated the role of coach on an interim basis, while Safa continue on the hazardous path of finding a suitable long-term coach for the 2010 World Cup.
And while mandated only to be in charge for the relatively low-key Cosafa Cup tournament, which kicks off with a game against Swaziland, the down-to-earth Mosimane is under no illusions as to what his future will be at Bafana level.
"I have a job to do," says the SuperSport coach, "and I aim to do it to the best of my ability, while building a foundation for Bafana's much-needed revival."
