PSL announces fixture changes
The Premier Soccer League has announced a number of changes to its 2006/7 Castle Premiership fixtures. These changes are listed below:
1. SUPERSPORT VS KAIZER CHIEFS - TIME CHANGE
The above-mentioned fixture scheduled, for Sunday, August 27 at the Loftus Stadium, scheduled to commence at 15.15; will now kick-off at 15.15 on the same date and venue.
The reason for the change being SABC SPORT will be broadcasting the game LIVE on TV.
2. BLACK LEOPARD VS MOROKA SWALLOWS – TIME CHANGE
The above fixture scheduled for Saturday, August 26 at the Thohoyandou Stadium, scheduled to commence at 15.00; will now kick-off at 15.15 on the same date and venue.
The reason for the change being SABC SPORT will be broadcasting the game LIVE on TV.
3. MARITZBURG UNITED VS BIDVEST – DATE AND VENUE CHANGE
The above fixture scheduled for Friday, August 25 at the Harry Gwala Stadium, scheduled to commence at 20.00; will now take place on Sunday, August 27 at Woodburn Stadium, Pietermaritzburg at 15.15.
The reason for the change being that Harry Gwala Stadium was found not to be playable after a ground inspection conducted by the PSL on Saturday August 19.
Please be aware of these changes if you are planning to go to the stadium to watch some of these matches.

There must have been a big party somewhere next to Royal Bafokeng.....
On another side, it just shows you how our clubs operate. Its a season opener for christ sake, give the kids/women free entrance if they come with their fathers/husbands.
Have you seen that Leopards always get 10 000+ for their home games?
I haven't seen any club offering season tickets to there fans either........

If we can get 10 more Nahtinos in KZN our football will grow.I am dead sure that Pirates and Chiefs support base in KZN is more than what you will get in GP.

seemingly we dont take care of our players too well.. the whole nince ...

so what happend was ppl got morea nd more attractd to Gauteng teams , who would take our players and make them stars over there ...
cant blame them though ... they have great marketing skills ...
In someways our current tams have NO clue what to do to atrac support .. its just aout survival ...
but anyay, Im passionate about my region , my team , my people ... an thats Y I look @ Celtic as suc a good example ...
thyv become sucha phenomenon .. its amazing ...

Orlando Pirates’ supporters will have to wait a little longer before they see their team in Castle Premiership action after their league match with Moroka Swallows, set for next Wednesday at the Germiston Stadium, was postponed indefinitely.
PSL Marketing and Communications officer Ntambi Ravele confirmed the postponement of the game saying that it was necessitated because of the Buccaneers’ involvement in the CAF Champions League this weekend.

Sundowns crash to Arrows
Golden Arrows beat defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns 1-0 in a Castle Premiership encounter played at Chatsworth on Wednesday afternoon thanks to a first half goal from Vusumuzi Vilakazi.
The game was exciting but in the end Arrows could have won by three goals had they taken their chances.
In the 23rd minute Sundowns should have opened the scoring when the ball was passed to Lerato Chabangu, right in front of goal, but keeper Nkosana Maseko made a great save to deny the striker.
The only goal came in the 44th minute when Vusumuzi Dhlamini passed the ball from the right to Vilakazi who controlled it then dribbled past two defenders to score.
Sundowns were unable to make their chances count in the second half but Arrows came close to finishing the game off in the 88th minute when a Norman Smith shot hit the post.
The win sees Arrows on four points after three games with Sundowns on one point after two games.

Leopards, Amazulu and Arrows will be in deep trouble if they don't collect +/- 10 pts before January. i can't include Benoni because they have been collecting pts and they will be up there very soon.
intresting to see SAA Supa 8 champ and runners-up in P10 and P9. but SSU can climb to second if they win their 2 games in hand. 5 more draws in few losses for Chiefs might mean they wont get a chance to defend their trophy....

Pirates not being consistent , Sundowns losing their way ...
Silver stars would be a real nice cindrella story if they @least go to second @ the end of the season ...
but supersport CAN make the league .. they have enough depth and material in their team as they need ...

WTF, we lost yet another game. thats 3 points from a possible 9. this is where the league is won or lost. we can't afford to lose games like this.
we played well but in the modern game of football, scoring goals is what counts. can anybody tell me what happened to Chabalala (the big animal from bloemfontein celtic). I only saw him last season for few games and since then, he has dissappeared to.

I agree not a good result man .. but your only 3 matchs down now ..Id say the extened game schedule is taking its toll ..
Vodacom,Charity , Africa , league ... tooo much and thus your players are 2 gears behind , where as Supersport are well rested and fresh ..

Lets hope the addition of the two leopards will add the much needed fire power upfront. both of the are are bit underrated.

the season is over now and i can't complain that much about our final position. we played badly through out the whole season. we are better that Chiefs though...
