Golden Arrows’ Papi Zothwane says he is waiting for Kaizer Chiefs’ manager Bobby Motaung to return from London so that he can complete negotiations for a move to the Amakhosi.

The talented midfielder, whose contract with Abafana Bes’thende ends in June, says he was due to finalise talks in Durban last week, but a scheduled meeting did not materialise.

Bobby confirmed that he is talking to Siyabonga Nkosi, but said nothing has been finalised as of now.
He reported that a final announcement will be made in the next week or two, also regarding about 5 to 7 players who will be transferred or loaned.
He also alluded to the fact that Chiefs are interested in Mbesuma, but may not afford him financewise.
Anyone with the latest rumours?

Bafana Bafana midfielder Siyabonga Nkosi revealed that he is headed for Kaizer Chiefs and says Bloemfontein Celtic have only themselves to blame for losing him, following a late bid by the Celtic management to retain his services.

“This is so late and I really can’t understand why they are doing this to me,” he said. “They are sending the wrong message to their fans when they say I am not prepared to stay, when they know very well they dragged their feet in finalising a new deal.

“You see I approached them about a new contract in December and also told them some teams are offering me big bucks. But they only showed seriousness after the Silver Stars game (Celtic’s last game of the season) and that was unfair to me to turn around, because before going for trials in the Ukraine, I had long ago made up my mind about the team I will join should things not go my way overseas.

back to the topic, i also think he can do a good job for chiefs. his experience will be vital upfront. lets wait and see what will happen. Motsepe might snatch him just like he did with P. Ndlovu.

After agonising over a last-gasp, vastly improved new offer from Bloemfontein Celtic, Siyabonga Nkosi is expected today to announce a decision regarding his future as a Kaizer Chiefs player.

Weekend newspaper reports suggested the Celtic and Bafana Bafana midfielder would remain in Bloemfontein after management made one final, much-improved offer from Bloemfontein Celtic.

This last ditch bid by Celtic to keep their star player appears to have failed however, and Nkosi is expected to announce today that he has signed for Chiefs.

Papi Zothwane was spotted at Kaizer Chiefs’ offices yesterday morning, and sources at the club reveal that he is now a Khosi for Life.

The Golden Arrows’ midfielder has been a Chiefs target for a while now and according to sources he is expected to be unveiled with the club’s other new signings today.

Another midfield star Siyabonga Nkosi, who has joined the Amakhosi from Bloemfontein Celtic, is also likely to be paraded.

Zothwane’s agent Thami Xulu says they will go public about his client’s new club on Thursday(today).

We will be trashing every team like there is no tomorrwo come the new season.
That is why Middendorp referred to Chiefs game against Pirates in the upcoming Vodacom challenge as a "small business".
Chiefs will be having deadly combinations such that not winning silverware will not have any excuses.

not yet ?

Papi Zothwane’s move to Kaizer Chiefs may hit the snag after revelations by Golden Arrows that he is still their player.

This emerged just after the lanky midfielder was paraded by Chiefs in Jozi as one of their new signees for next season.

Arrows’ co-boss Mato Madlala told Kick Off: “You see Papi’s current contract ends in June 31 and he has another one in which he committed himself to a long-term contract with us and we don’t understand how he claims to have signed for Chiefs while he still belongs to us. We are prepared to take this matter to court if need be.”

Madlala also revealed the club’s lawyer Michael Murphy is currently handling the matter.

Zothwane refuted Arrows’ claims, saying he did not sign any new contract with the club.

“I was surprised when they told me this week that I am contracted to them. I know absolutely nothing about that and I am already looking forward to starting a new life at Chiefs,” he told Kick Off.

they should just let the boy move on. he stands a better chance of playing for Bafaba Bafana and winning trophies with chiefs that he would with Golden Arrows. He is getting a better salary now i guess.

Papi Zothwane says Golden Arrows have themselves to blame for losing his services.

After learning that the talented midfield star had signed for Kaizer Chiefs, Arrows came out and said Zothwane’s transfer is invalid because apart from the one that ended in June 30, he has another contract with them.

This has led the Durban team to task lawyer Michael Murphy to handle the issue, with Chiefs also said to be rolling up their sleeves in preparation for the next step, which will be legal proceedings.

Zothwane says he does not understand Arrows’ statement that he has got a new contract with them, saying they must just leave him to further his career at his new club.

“You see the Arrows people are liars. I think they are just making this new contract thing up because they thought I was going to stay. But look bra, maybe I would have stayed had we concluded the talks myself and my agent had with Mato Madlala last month,” he tells Kick Off.

“After meeting her over the renewal of my contract, there was no continuation of talks with Arrows. I then decided it was wise to move because I could not understand why Arrows were not responding to our calls for another meeting. They blew the chance away and now they are making this contract thing up.”

The former Maritzburg City and SA U-23 international added he was looking forward to a new challenge at the Amakhosi.

“It’s been my childhood dream to play for Chiefs and now that this has been realized, despite Arrows’ attempts to stop me, I have pledged to work hard in order to get game time. I should be thanking Arrows for the chance they gave me, but now this,” he says.

Veteran midfielder John Moshoeu and Kaizer Chiefs have finally parted ways.

Confirming this, 40-year-old ‘Shoes’ tells Kick Off that he has finally come to the realisation that his dream of ending his career with Amakhosi will not happen.

Moshoeu did not want to commit himself and say where he would end up now that he is a free agent.

“I need to make a decision that I will not live to regret; it must be the right move, to a place where I share a common goal with those that I work with.

“However, no matter what decision I take it could turn ugly later, but then on the other hand, to be successful you need to take risks in life otherwise you may live to regret the opportunities you do no take.

“It may be a blessing in disguise for Chiefs that I will no longer be with them. Maybe they will achieve more now than when I was with them. I wish them well because I felt bad being a part of the team, getting a salary and not playing.

“One thing I do regret is the fact that we did not play the entertaining, carpet football that Amakhosi are known for.”

Moshoeu says it does not make a difference if he joins a big or a small team.

“When I started off playing, it was with Giant Blackpool and even in those days we challenged and beat Chiefs and Swallows on the odd occasion.”

“I hope wherever I play my contribution will be for the benefit to those around me. I think my biggest disappointment in life is that I am judged on my age and not what I can offer on the field.”

Moshoeu says he tried desperately hard to get more game time at Chiefs and feels he was treated unfairly, however, he respects Ernst Middendorp’s decision not play him and to allow him to leave to pursue his career elsewhere.

Moshoeu should have just played his cards cleverly and retire while at Chiefs maybe they could have given him a post within their teams structures.

It is wise to do it the Dumitru way:leave while you are still hot.Do not wait to be forced out because of not being able to deliver anymore.
