Ok, Im revising this thread here ..

Yall know , Im HUGELY PASISIONATE ABOUT SOCCER ... and also CROWDS! I LOVE CROWDS and how fans react , celebrate , the colours they wear , songs they chant ... Im telling U this is like the 3rd time Im writing this ...

He mustv been a CRAZY Street soccer player , he's AWESOME !! But Kaka is more direct and straight forward ...AMAZING, I used to think Kaka was Italian .. Imagine him Next to Pirlo in Italia ...!?

appernlty R-10 coldnt make it to the match .. he had an injury(He was in the squad still) he picked up from Barca ..

but when the crowd heard he wouldnt play .. they BOOED..

eish the dude is acing a hardtym ryt now .. (He's never really played as HOT for Brazil as he does for Barca) might b a positional thing

Im glad that in recent years or times .. things have iporved .. Chiefs led the way ..Pirates did an overhaul of their operations( THANKS ZODWA,RIP) and Swallows is going thru a revial ..ofsorts

Just check their attendances ...MATE THATS SHOCKING !I heard theres a lil sumthing they have to sort out with the Royal family and the council and then theyll launch their reqruitment campaign but darn ... they could have done sumthing better by now ..

Iv seen them with NO FANS , its like Chiefs playing with no one ...(Their punishment )

Anyway .. I recently checkd the SANTOS websie, good to know they have it , but when last was it updated ?

I wont even talkabout th Dbn club.. cos seriosly , not one of them has one ..AMazulu with all its history and heritage...supposedly doesnt even have a website ..How are we fans supposed to egt info and inturn market our team ...

And Arrows ... shyt theyv been around for 6 seasons now in the top flight and nex !

Anyway, Y Im saying this is becuase our teams need to start looking at the BIG picture ...

Look at 2010, its juts 40 + months aaway ... sure enough our stadiums are being built and the rest of Bussiness SA wants to get in on the action ...

but seriosuly , once those 50+ odd seater stadiums are built ... theyr gon have to be utilisd ....

Dbn esxpecialy ... the King Z is gonna be second to none ... 80 000 If Im not mistaken ...

now our clubs must start proactively BUILDING a profile with the community ..@large ...

and Im not just talking to Sipho Mhlongo of Umlazi ection BB ... no no ..

more like marketing themselves t (in a SA context) Blacks , Whites , Colourds...even the foregin legion that love soccer ...

We'r ALL SA'ns ..and so the main thing must be a luv of soccer that guides our passion ...

If U look @ overseas clubs ..what makes them successfull is that they appeal to a LARGE audience .. Arsenal wont say they want to ?and target only residents of North London ...

but the whole gospel is spread thruout the country and the world .. regardless of 'race'

I feel the Siwelele gospel has that POTENTIAL, like the Chiefs brand did in the past 30 years ...

Drban with its tremendous BUETY and riches ..SURELY the clubs can offer their fans more than just sitting on a concrete slab and watch them beingbeaten ...

I once heard the PRO or Chairmen ..of Arrows remark on radio, that his aim was to make Arrows the Second team of the KZN population (after the BIG 3 ofcourse )

Such a defeatist attitude ..!!!

We have THE BEST BEACHES, THE BEST CLIMATE < THE BEST PEOPLE ...Ushaka Marine, 1000 hills, the BEach , andALL the history ... and the best our teams can do is hope to be #3 !?!

I was looking at the Sharks website and just going thru their Supporters programme and offreings ... and granted theyr richer , have a stadium and MEGA endorsements ... U can @least see whats theyr aims are .. and they deliver a TOP Notch product ...

now , we dont need to have MIlion rands stadiums (for now) with Corprate suties ... this is where we can use our savy and maybe empower small bussiness co's to organise the catering , customer care issuse , security ...

Have a host of Fan inittiatives .. that will ULTIMATLY bring your name(Brand) a GOOD IMAG and relationship with your clients ...

the Sharks have a Cycling team ... a travel and Springbk Rugby package , mascot , merchandise ...

Our teams could even branch out into other sports like Basketball or Athletics ...( Have an allstar Invitational team with your branding ..

something like that ..cos its real pathetic the attitude they have , of just collecting the $$$ and not worrying toomuch about the rest ...

GUYS we MUCT WIN !! I WANT THIS TELKOM CUP I WANT IT BAD !!
